This long-horned beetle can be found in coniferous forests across North America, especially in the northern United States, upper Midwest and much of Canada. The males have one white spot at the front of the elytra (wing covers). Females have other white spots throughout the lower portions of the elytra. Males have ridiculously long antennae to help them better find a mate.
