From tropical butterflies …to walking sticks …to arachnids that include tarantulas, scorpions, and more, the more you learn about the amazing animals that are part of our exhibits and programs, the more you’ll appreciate the incredible life-stories and diversity of the arthropod species we share our planet with.
Your membership not only provides you with free unlimited admission and other benefits, but you also become part of the community swarm that’s taken our long-term dream of opening a tropical butterfly house and insect museum and turned it into reality. From visiting our facility to attending special programs and events, we welcome you and invite you to learn and explore along with us.

Unlimited free admission for the number of adults / children at associated membership level for one full year from date of purchase.

$2 off additional adult admissions (up to 4)

Discount on special events, birthday parties, camp registrations, and other programs.
- Must be an active member to receive benefits (membership dues paid within the past 12 months.)
- Free admission does not include select special events, group/school tours, and field trips.
- Primary Members must be adults living in the same household.
- Memberships are non-refundable and membership privileges may not be shared or transferred.
Membership FAQ
Your membership admission benefits are limited to the primary member(s) (adults) in your household and any dependent children under 18 or grandchildren under 18. For other visitors joining you, you can use one of your two annual guest passes or receive a $2 discount off of each additional adult admission (up to 4 per visit).
Cardholders are the primary adult(s) living in your household.
When filling out your membership information, you will have two choices: 1) electronically receive an e-card to store on your smart phone; or 2) chose to receive a physical membership card. Receiving a physical membership card will take up to 2 weeks, but you can always check in online or at our admissions desk with your member number, name and/or email address.

No …but it makes life easier for all of us if you have them. You can reserve your admission tickets online (checking in with your member number and password or your email address) or come to our admissions desk to check in. Please note, if we are experiencing high visitation we may have timed ticket entry enacted.

If you lose your physical membership card, we can issue you an e-card or order a new physical card for you. It will take up to 2 weeks to get a new card.
Yes, you can add one caregiver per membership account. The caregiver must be a non-relative and listed on your membership account. Please contact us to add a caregiver. Please note that you cannot give your card to someone else to use (aside from your spouse or partner). Giving your card to friends or family members to use may result in cancelation of your membership.

Yes! Even if you requested a physical membership card and it has not arrived, you can check in with your name, ID, and email address at our admissions desk or reserve your admission tickets online.
No. Since you are essentially purchasing a benefits package (getting something of value in return), membership fees are not tax deductible.
