This beautiful moth can be found throughout all of North America, except for the far south and far northwest (Yukon, and Alaska). The larvae feed on alder, basswood, birch, black cherry, chokecherry, hazel and willow. Adults fly from April to August. Photos by Glenn Marangelo on 5/10/18 in Missoula, MT.
