We think this may be the Honest Pero (Pero honestari), but this genus is tricky. Members of this New World genus exhibit sexual dimorphism, polymorphism, extreme geographic variation, and a high degree of individual variation. The often bicolored moths range throughout North America, except the Arctic. Larvae feed on a wide range of hosts from many different families, such as pine (Pinaceae), rose (Rosaceae), pea (Fabaceae), and aster (Asteraceae).
