This beautiful moth can be found across much of the northern US and the southwestern states. The larvae feed on a wide variety of woody and herbaceous plants, enabling them to occupy a variety of habitats. Unfortunately, Great Tiger Moth numbers have steadily declined over the past 20 years. Stemming from climate change, populations have moved away from the south and toward the north.
