Sometimes you don’t have to go far to snap a picture of our smallest wildlife. This beauty was in our development director’s living room. Spiders in this genus Sergiolus tend to be boldly patterned and colored. These ground hunters range in size from about 6 to 10 mm. There are 16 species in the genus in North America. Their large, cylindrical spinnerets are characteristic of spiders in the family Gnaphosidae.
