This moth’s rose-pink forewings provide a nice pop of color on a backdrop of oceanspray. In our area these moths fly from late June to mid-July in fields, meadows, and wood edges where their host plant, wild bergamot (Monarda fistulosa), grows. They are wide-ranging, from southern Ontario and New Jersey to Florida, west to Arizona, north to Alberta and British Columbia.
