Girls and Bugs Club
Do you have a young bug enthusiast at home who loves nothing more than to look for bugs in the back yard? Does she love asking questions and testing new ideas? The Missoula Insectarium is launching a Bug Club just for girls who are interested in all things bugs, science and exploration. We’re looking to support and cultivate the next generation of trailblazing scientists and have a whole lot of fun while we’re at it! Throughout the course of the Girls n’ Bugs Club, we’ll conduct experiments with live Bug Ambassadors, explore the world of arthropods through the lens of a microscope, prototype new inventions and much more. The camp will wrap up with a science fair style presentation of their own self-designed experiments facilitated by local women in STEM fields. This is an exciting opportunity for girls in grades K – 5 to learn, experiment and play.
