Bugs and Brews: Much Ado About Mothing
March 26 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
What happens when you mix after hours access to the Insectarium, local beers, and a fascinating expert lecturer? You get the Missoula Insectarium’s evening lecture series: “Bugs and Brews”! Every month we will have a new expert lecturer discuss a fascinating topic relating to bugs.
This month, join us for a presentation that will highlight “The BIG Year” competition between Tim O’Brien and Carl Barrentine (a.k.a. Birdman v. Mothman). The theme concerns this line from Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s classic, The Little Prince: “What is essential is invisible to the eye”. In his presentation Carl will relate highlights from his first full season of mothing (2018), finding and photographing nearly 500 species of moths in his backyard in Spokane, Washington. For more information on this month’s topic, check out our Bugs and Brews page.
The Insectarium exhibit area will reopen briefly after the event, until about 8:30pm.
Cost: $8, $5 for members. Two complementary drinks are included with your admission.
Must be 21 or over for alcohol.
Location: 218 E Front Street, 2nd Floor
